Interesting idea. First time I tried it the controls didn't work at all and I thought you might have gone for the uber "stay here" game with no controls but reloading the page had me find all the ways to die!
You may have needed to click on the game window to focus it. Sort of like you need to click on a NORMAL window that has a close, minimize, and fullscreen button, in order to interact with it fully.
