Actual image of naive me going to play this game in the dark
Possible spoiler warning!
Another great game by zahran & king, nice
The good:
-Kings art is spot on like always
-Quite long, which is pretty impressive for a jam game
-Lots of palettes
-Intresting combat
-Intresting abilities
-Music is great and theres so many tracks too
the bad:
-Multiple ways of getting stuck in walls I found, mostly having to do with going out of the weird area with nothing but a few of those glitched tiles and a scrolling eye background and also the frame ability
-I'm a wuss so I don't like scary things so this game took a bit of effort to play through
-Easy to get lost
-Either I'm dumb or viewing photos seems to be a bit bugged
-Didn't fit the theme too well
Overall:
Really good game and sad I'm too spooked by this game to actually complete it. Managed to get the frame ability and embarassingly got jumpscared by that giant face thing in that glitched out area. Ignoring my cowardance though, the worst part about this game I found was that I had to close and reopen the game multiple times due to getting stuck in walls so frequently. Running around while not really remembering the map at all was also an issue, maybe taking photos of areas will make a map of the world? Also, aside from there being plants in the game I felt like the focus was entirely on the spooky enemies and the camera. The gameboy-ness was pretty good though
