I am glad you enjoyed yourself! Yeah, Laurent’s route is a slow burn, and it doesn’t develop much at all in the demo, since the majority of that development should happen after the demo’s story. I didn’t want to rush it, but I also didn’t want to scrap it entirely, so I left it at that. But I will make up for it in the game proper.

Other than that, would you mind pushing the spoilers down under the ‘view rest’  using a few blank lines? Either that or move them under the recent devlog (if you take a look down the comment section, you'll notice how others are doing it :D) I would really appreciate that. <3 Thanks again!

ok there we go, did I do it right? Thank you for letting me know!

I honestly didn’t consider that this was a demo so the pace of things might be different than it would be in the full game. I hope you didn’t mind my completely unwarranted and uneducated opinion xD And thank you so much for the response! I was thinking he’d be way more slow burn so I’m excited to see how that develops in the end.

Also if you don’t mind the question, you said you wanted to try both IF and visual novel formats, hence the VN demo and IF full game. Which did you like making more? Do you have any opinions on either format that you don’t mind sharing?

Yes, you did it perfectly! Thank you very much! :D

Oh no, not at all! I am still a baby writer, though less so than I was when I started working on this VN. I still have much to learn, so I always appreciate the pointers and opinions the readers/players provide! Truth be told, the demo is quite jumbled up, as it is just a piece of the main story I used to learn to code on, since it seemed easier than conjuring a completely different story just for the sake of using it as test material. Since then, I keep thinking about scrapping or deleting this VN, but since it keeps bringing fun to the players, I decided to keep it nonetheless. Laurent will be my firs time writing slow though, so I hope not to disappoint.

I don’t mind at all! Let’s see. I think I prefer VN more, if only became I am a visual person, so I enjoy working on both the script and the art. But IF format is definitely more attainable, especially for solo developers, as there are fewer assets to prepare. So I would say, for the stories in which the setting/landscape/etc changes a lot, it might be easier/faster to focus just on writing alone, whereas for more ‘contained’ stories, VN makes more sense. But writing both is insanely fun, though I have to say I am not fond of the line-line-line format of VNs as compared to full-page-text of IFs.
