Hey guys! Congratulations on the achievement. Crafting a game in only 48h is not an easy taks at all. And the fact that you've made this far with an actual build tells us you have what it takes to keep crafting this and future projects you may come to work.
In the case feedback is welcome, i'll let some thoughts about your work. Case it is not, please, just ignore the following.
I loved the theme and narrative choices. The idea of having a girl within that tribal context to prove her value is awesome and i believe there is a lot for you guys to explore on that.
I'd comment about some buggish stuff but for this particular build I believe you guys already know about those. So I'll try focusing on some stuff that felt like choices.
- I felt a real concern about the character's movement and feel and this is a total win. I could tell the jump was crafted not to be "floaty" but perhaps it is too agressive on the fall. Maybe adjusting a little bit of those jump / gravity variables would be a good thing for the future.
- This may feel harsh but comes from a constructive place I promise that. The dash skill is useless as the game currently is. At the end of the run i noticed there is moment it is forced but as a player i did not even had to hit the skill button. It is a good thing you guys made it easier to dash from a "grab" state, but other than that there are no moments where I should strategically choose to use the dash skill. And it felt like for your level design that kind of gameplay thinking was intended.
- I kinda ended the thing in like 3 minutes of gameplay counting the time it took me to learn skills and stuff. I know this is a 48h thing and time was not the most abundant resource but I felt like when you guys got me warmed up that was it. I expected more gameplay and it kinda hit me. You guys focused on narrative and story. Wich I already commented I loved and want to consume more about it, but perhaps for your choice of gameplay maybe a little bit more of focus on gameplay progression could have been a lot more assertive for the gameplay you guys proposed.
- On the other hand, also maybe, focused only on narrative part and crafted a narrative game like a novel. Would let you guys work better on presentation and that climax ending in order to deliver more value (boy... what a plot... again... loved it).
Well... these were my thoughts. Hope they were constructive and I apologize if they were not. Thanks for the experience and congratulations again!
