Yeah, I ran out of time with aligning the colliders up with the cave walls. That led to a lot of unpleasant clipping in the caves with the player and the enemies.  There was a bit of an issue with the character controller too that I was trying to sort out. It had to do with the physics engine wreaking havoc on my non-physics based movement I was applying to the character. The green glow of the mushrooms is a health add. It was red at first and changed it to green to kind of give the idea it was a good thing. I know that green is associated with poison though. Didn't think of it at the time since it was like 2AM when I did it Maybe should have gone with white?
