I think the biggest thing would be more involvement with not just the kin, but also Karen. Technically after finding out about funding, kin, and how to care for them Karen might as well just disappear, since if you visit her she says nothing new. Yes, she promotes you, but if it's any other time, she says nothing new at all. The issue with the kin is while they have more interaction and involvement, there's a lot of time of "just waiting for something to happen". After finding out about how to best care for each of the kin there's just a few more chat questions, then it's just...wait. Waiting for the kin to warm up to you, and after the new kin-related chat questions, waiting for something to happen.
Barring the waiting game it looks good!
