HI alright aeon talks about rpgmaking
notes: the biggest criticism is one i fully understand is not one that may be entirely possible to address BUT
but but but. the rtp graphics do not suit gensokyo very well. maybe i have just looked at them too long but having the ghostdude talk about the splendor of gensokyo on a scene i see fragments of every time i boot up mv is not the MOST enthralling
i DO really like the concept of battling being largely a bad thing and more focused on escape than dealing damage. i was actually tinkering around with that for a non-touhou fangame sometime earlier and it would be awesome to see another take
there is a chance i am reading this wrong though because the one encounter i got into swiftly ended in a crash! it is alright. happens
probably something to do with the panic meter. very cool concept, very horror game sanity-esque. (i haven't played many horror games with this mechanic but i'm pretty sure it's present)
you probably don't need me to tell you that uhhh interacting with the trees at the bottom to progress (even if it's just to end demo) or even assuming the player will look at them in this low visibility is a bit UNLIKELY
aaaaand the portrait art is very nice and uses of more obscure parts of touhou is always cool
i saw there were more than just the two maps in the game files so i booted it up to see if there was anything else i could say about the secret FUTURE PARTS of the game but it seems like most stuff isn't there. makes sense! three days! cool maps though
