You can try using the app called Parallel Space.
It allows you to clone apps, to run separate accounts on Twitter, and stuff like that. But if you clone Rise using that app and run it through there it works! Or at least it worked for me and some other people that tested it.

The problem is that we don't have permission to save the game anymore because android is cracking down on third-party apps like ours, we don't have permission to write on the device anymore, which means we can't save the game. This app works around that limitation and gives the game the proper permissions

Could it be the reason why some other games here ask for permission to access all files?

Yes.

oh okay ty for the reply. I thought it was weird that they all were suddenly asking for it 😅

Most other unity  android games  on itch run fine. cant you give it to someone who ports he can easily fix these problems  both asking permission and  storage

Hmm, if that is the only thing stopping it from working. Then I'd say maybe see if you can figure out a way to make it request the needed permissions. Probably not right away but maybe something worth looking into for a future update.

Maybe have it request storage and notifications permission at the very least if possible. Storage for the game saves and notifications for updates (if needed).

Yeah I've looked into it already. From what I can gather, the only way I can do it is by bulding the game natively, which I'm not going to do as android is not our focus,
