You can transfer your saves to a new version by going into the main folder 'WindowsNoEditor', down to 'GrowthRPG', down to 'Saved', down to 'SaveGames'. In this folder you would want to take anything relevant but "Save0.sav", etc, are your saved files. Word of caution keeping the save file could bring bugs along with it. So, save often or start anew. Random97's comment is nice too so you at least don't lose your personalization.
