I was thinking a bit about this game. I think the mechanics of planting -> waiting -> harvesting and not starving in the meantime is actually fun. I think with a round-based rather than a real-time  gameplay it could really shine. Like each step you move takes 1 time unit and you're getting hungrier with every time unit. That'll make it more chill and strategic ;)

Making it turn based would have been a good idea! Then 1 turn can be a season or something, then the planning can be improved!
