EVERYONE I THINK I HAVE A SOLUTION!
1. Boot up the game
2. Turn OFF hitboxes
3. Toggle fullscreen on and off
4. Play Singleplayer
5. See if it works! If the characters move smoothly after 2 turns, then the issue is fixed.
