Try opening the game again, it can sometimes get stuck while opening.

If the problem persists, try the Web version, I'm posting the instructions in this comment:

1. Download the .zip file (glass-jungle.zip).
2. Extract the executable and the .pck file into the same folder.
3. Enter the page gotm.io.
4. Press the Upload button (top right corner, cloud icon with arrow).
5. Drop the .pck file into the dialog.
6. Wait for the game to load and play!
