I liked this, especially in the non-typical use of the DoL. What I also find interesting is the various takes on factions, for instance the deceased story driver individual in your story, I never viewed it like that, but also brings up what if it wasn’t actually true (just thought to be, and people are avenging what doesn’t need to be) and what impact would that have on how the factions viewed themselves on discovery?
