I was expecting a fast-paced fighting game when I read the description, so I was a bit disappointed to find out it's more of a "strategy" game, where you move in and out to find the right moment to land an attack and do tiny damage to the boss.
Some improvement suggestions:
1) A retry button is a must. Going all the way back to the title screen after losing a battle breaks the game flow.
2) A block/guard button would be nice.
3) Bosses should flinch after getting hit, to give the player more opportunities to land a strong attack, since it takes a long time to charge and perform.
It's a good game for what it is.
