Kind of sounds a bit ominous at the start, which I find interesting, a bit sad for a while even. Makes me think about the origins of why the protagonist got out to sea. Then we move on more and more from that, like the protagonist says "screw this", I'm done being gloomy, I'm gonna brave these waves and see what happens!
I feel you bring quite the unique palette to this track, with the synthy colours you chose. I do always appreciate doing something that feels different, as it would give your hypothetical game it's own recognizable voice. I'm also going to be yet another one to mention the drums, just so you really know they do sound crisp.
