Main Menu: I love the dissonances in the long woodwind notes. This definitely helps capture the air of mystery. The piano chords also have a glimpse of hope which allows for complex emotions to develop. This track works very well as a menu theme - it’s calm and sets the stage for the story to come.

Midnight Waves: I am a fan of the deceptive v-VI-i (I think?) cadence used throughout. The bassoon works really well in this piece as a bridge between sections of high woodwind and low strings. The 3/4 lilting, as you described, works very well to paint the imagery of a ship swaying on the ocean.

Underwater World: Your mallets create an otherworldly feeling that is fitting for underwater, but also would work well for outerspace. I found myself having a hard time finding a tonal center of this piece, but I think that’s probably intentional - having an ethereal and ambient slow swaying feeling. I like it a lot!

Some Wishes Don’t Come True: The Andalusian cadence at the beginning conveys a sense of loss right from the beginning and then transitions well into the big orchestral dread, grief, and pleading sound of the large orchestral hits with timpani. So many complex emotions in this song! I like the progression and think it does a good job portraying the story you describe. Thank you for sharing!
