Lost at Sea: I love this combination of chiptune and authentic instrumental sounds! When listening to this track, I imagine the chiptune lead representing the main character with the piano representing thet ocean beneath him and the twinkling bells as the stars falling from the sky. This lends itself to musically describe how the ocean and stars have so much more depth and complexity and beauty than the human experience can fathom. This would be an excellent track to listen to in the background of a game.

Battle in the Storm: I like that the main theme is utilized again in this minor fast-paced battle version. The low piano note and the echoey synths feel like the ominous and dangerous sea constantly looming in these tension-filled situations. I love the piano flourishes that occur throughout this track, as if the stars and the goddess are omnipresent and are always helping the main character.

Wishful Dreaming: This track reminds me of music you would hear in relaxing areas in Kingdom Hearts. The push and pull of the tempo feels very natural like the push and pull of the ocean waves. The reverb on this track feels really pleasant and works very well in describing the story correlate.

The Goddess’ Wish: The fast harp line is really pretty when it enters. The big moment at 1:04 feels so powerful and beautiful as if that is the exact moment the sailor receives the epiphany from the goddess. These are some beautiful and very well-crafted tracks. I love the combination of piano and chiptune in all of them. Excellent work and thank you for sharing!

Wow thank you for your comments on all 4 tracks -- really appreciate your analysis on each of them  on top of reading the storyline :) I think renzo's choice of 5/4 for the time signature in Wishful Dreaming  really helped with the push and pull you mentioned! As for The Goddess's Wish, I'm glad that the build up leading to  the 1:04 timestamp/return to the beginning's main melody worked out well in terms of connecting back to the storyline! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on our music+storyline.

P.S. I also enjoyed listening to your music+reading your storyline+behind-the-scenes thought process for music theory representing moods/events in the story!

Everything you both did worked out well and you should be proud! And thank you for taking the time to listen to my submission! It means a lot!
