An official port is certain to have no tampering, like viruses, trojans, miners, or spyware.

An official port does not make the compatibility of the game reliant on third-party software the author has no control over.

A proper port also adresses the issue of a PC-scaled interface on a phone screen, unlike Joiplay.

Then of course, convenience and capsulation. Installing an APK beats having to organize a bunch of game files and messing with an emulator.

You realize that some devs use third parties to make their Android port, right?

(+2)(-1)

What does that have to do with anything?

If you commission a 3rd party, you hold control over the release, you can verify the content, and you know who did the job amd can be held accountable. All the other points remain valid too.

I find it funny that you took 23 days to come up with a reply that's better than your deleted "cool story bro", and still have no point.

Don't be such a triggered snowflake.  And actually, it had quite a bit to do with it.  Some of those who are 'commissioned' to build 3rd party ports also do it freelance.  So you are effectively saying these same porters are lacing others with malware.

"So you're saying", seriously? Who are you, Kathy Newman? Keep that strawman, because I didn't say any of it.

Commissions ARE freelance work, genius. And no, I did not accuse any specific modder of spreading malware. But some do, and official releases give the customer a guideline to know which ports can be trusted.

I'd say you're the triggered one, seeing how you can't just accept when you were wrong and have to make up nonsense to bolster your ego. It's time to take the L while you still have some dignity.

Rephrase this drivel into something that resembles sense.

You posted an ignorant comment and got called for it by trying to claim some who work on official ports also lace them with malware.  Your projection and attempts to backpeddle and grasp at straws noted.  Go sit down and move along.  Let the adults talk.

That is probably the most unintentionally ironic comment I've read all week.

(-1)

Given your obvious lack of reading comprehension, I'm not surprised.

You're one to talk,  Mister "So-you're-saying".

(-1)

Let's go back to dissect and rip apart your ignorance to give you a better understanding, as apparently you're a bit on the slow side with no reading comprehension skills whatsoever.

Here you suggest some ports contain various malware or that it (somehow) is reliant on 3rd party software.

After pointing out some devs actually use 3rd party ports for their games for Android, you get butt hurt here at the revelations and then go on your little rant after completely failing to get the point, which is why you conveniently claim there is none in your attempt to desperately grasp at straws here.

Again, reading comprehension here is paramount.  Something you are severely lacking in.

so you're effectively saying this game is ported by lobsters?
