You can use royalty-free or purchased music, but you must have the rights to use it.

cool, does that apply to all assets? You have to own the rights?

Yes, it applies to code, images, and sound, but if you follow a very basic tutorial for code or something and change it a lot then that will be allowed. We don’t want 35 identical platformers with that stupid eye character. For images and sound if they are under a CC License or are royalty free then its fine

who is the annoying eye guy? I don't want to use it accidently

Ok, so the scratch front page is full of platformers. They all claim to have "100% of all code by me!", yet they all have the same character(eye guy), collisions, spikes, and level layouts. I don't want that to happen.
