Thanks for the comment!

I've seen other people suggest the same thing with coat collecting, but I stand by my decision to use the E key because then if you find a coat but don't want it, you don't have to grab it. It's slightly more inconvenient to automatically grab it and have to put it down to avoid dying of heat stroke

The bridge thing is likely just a result of the way I used tilemaps to build levels. I've seen others talk about the same thing and I didn't think it was that noteworthy. But I'm glad I was wrong. That's the best part about being criticized; you learn about stuff that you didn't think was an issue but others did.

Finally, you probably were missing something, but I take full responsibility for that and I'm fully aware that communication is one of the game's weak points. Here's what might be useful that I didn't properly explain in game:

  • If you get exploded by the Snowman enemy, you become 2 degrees colder. You can take advantage of that by purposefully getting hit and then being at the correct temperature.
  • Some levels allow you to move left from the starting platform. I made a level that requires the player to do this so that they'd know it's a thing.
  • Jumping into pits never actually harms your progress. It either teleports you back to the start or lets you into a hidden area. You don't lose any temperature or any of your current wearables.

As I've said in other comments, this lack of communication was part of my desire to let players learn and discover on their own. However I should have at least given them something to go off of. That's definitely something I'll take note of in future!
