Hi! I say, make the game you want. But, if you're looking for my intent when creating the jam, I am looking for games that stick closer to the belonging outside belonging framework: no gms, no dice, utilizing the tools that are presented in Dream Apart/Dream Askew.

Ok. I actually ended working on 3 different games for this. One is solo (I know, not community, but it is important for the game), one is group, one is this weird hybrid I mentioned. I intend to make all 3 though I'll make the one
Thanks for clearing your intent. I think what I'll do is prioritize for the jam the ones that seem to fit your intent the most because constraint is an important part of the game jame ethos. I read that recently in some thing somebody posted on itch about game jams. Who was it? Oh, it was you! :D Then I'll move forward with the other one. That seems to make the most sense?
From a taxonomical perspective, I wonder if diceless is inherent to Belonging Without Belonging from Avery's perspective or if Diceless is from "no dice, no masters" instead. I'm not really.
A quick look at my ideas:
#1 (presented in this thread) - has dice, no masters, community, otherwise follows the belonging chapter exactly but adds in a dice framework
#2 (not presented) - follows more closely, has a minion mechanic but still diceless
#3 (not presented, probably getting finished first) - follows the most closely except is a solo rpg for important reasons
Maybe I can't follow rules? :D
