Thank you for the tip! That's a very good idea! I just removed the patch from the bundle - pls let me know if it works!

The Artbook is also NSFW...i wonder if we'd have to remove that too

I don't know. It might be worth a try if you still have the patience for it. Again, sorry for putting you through all of this!

I removed everything I could! please do let me know if its working :)

It worked!!! I was able to buy the game on Steam now. Thank you so, so, so much. <3

YEY!!! So happy it worked! <3 <3 <3 You know where to get the patch! (Just put it in the "game" folder that will appear in the game's root folder (for PC).

That's what I did, thank you! However, I have another issue now. I just started playing the game, but the backgrounds and CGs are mismatched, i.e. the upper and lower halves are skewed and not properly alligned.  I tried re-installing the game, playing in windowed mode, adding and removing the patch, and changing my computer's resolution, but nothing worked. I am going to try and add a screenshot to this post to show you what I mean. I'm playing on Windows.

Could you please let me know how to resolve this?

Oh wow, that's the first time I've ever seen a bug like this.

I feel like we should report it to the developer of the Ren'py game engine itself.

I would appreciate it! Any idea what else I could try? It's like all the backgrounds and CGs are split up into 3 misaligned segments. :(

I never had any issues with Ren'py games before. This error occurred right from the start and also affects the gallery btw. The strange thing is that the thumbnails look fine, but opening an image results in the above bug, which is also present in-game.

I managed to fix it!! I had to disable Ren'Py's OpenGL support, which is done by holding down shift while starting the game. I was then able to force the game to use a different software renderer from the available options and now the backgrounds and CGs look as they should both in-game and in the gallery. I am SO relieved. Hopefully I can finally enjoy the game now, lol.

A software-rendering issue, I see. I'll keep that solution in mind if someone else ever runs into this issue, thanks!

I have the same error >n< can you help me?

This is a known issue related to The Symbiant's game engine (Ren'py) when launched on very old hardware or outdated graphic card drivers.

To fix it, you can try the following steps:

  •  hold the SHIFT key while clicking the game launch button
  •  a grey screen will appear instead of the game, that's normal
  • select "Force GL2 Renderer", then "Quit"
  • Restart the game.
  • If the issue persists, go to that grey menu again and select "Force ANGLE2" Renderer" instead

Sadly, it doesn't. :( Thank you so much for trying, though! I still think it might be related to the bundle somehow. When I do a search on Steam for the game it displays the price of the soundtrack and guide bundle (6.46 €) for the actual game in the search window and only on the sales page it shows the right price (17.99 for the game, 22.65 for the game/ost/guide bundle - again, I would not be seeing this at all if the game were banned). It's just such a shame that Steam keeps making things so difficult in my country. I might just go ahead and buy the game on itch.io. Sorry for all the hassle!

Yeah, I feel you so much, always the same problems for VN Lovers in germany...So frustrating! If possible I buy the games here on itch and if they're with a steamkey activate them there...also thanks a lot from me for the steamkey and patch! ♡♡♡

Thank you for the tip! I wasn't sure if a Steam key would work or if it would also be affected by the geolock. It's good to know that it works! I'll save myself the hassle with Steam and just buy my VNs through itch.io in the future. :)
