Is going through the locked gate the only path available in the demo? still haven't been able to find the blue light or where to use some items like the stone curse cure

flowers (from the sculpture guy). use potato chips on him first if he's still chasing you. then you can use the flowers on the chemistry set with the rest of the items

2 buy a potato chip from the vending machine
3 feed the potato chip to the npc at the art gallery
4 get flowers from the npc
5 make a stone curse cure
6 use it at the candle statue
7 get blue light
