The game doesn't need you to put them in the houses, as long as there are enough houses to hold all the sporelings they won't die.

Update: The game is pretty relaxing, but its kinda sad seeing so many die while waiting a long time for the houses to be built. The coin pickup may need some work as its kinda hard to pickup the coins at times. Other than that nice game!
