Yeah, the main "makeshift" was that you have to makeshift a weapon to fight with using the parts around the lab. The idea was if you run over the pipe, pipe, and bolt it will make the pistol appear. Bolt, bolt, and pipe makes a sword. We got that partially working but as you saw we had to just give him a gun to start with because we ran out of time.
