I liked the way you interpreted the theme of "an end is a new beginning" and enjoy the pixel art style on display, however ultimately I don't think the final product really delivered.

The music wasn't very appealing. I think a faster, more intense track would suit the kind of game this is.

The way controls were laid out felt a bit all over the place. Having a tutorial where we're introduced to these things one at a time would've helped a lot.

And lastly, what I found to be kinda game breaking, I couldn't pick up the axe. Since I couldn't leave the area without dying, I assumed that this would render the game impossible.

I couldn't find much fun out of this game. However, the initial idea is still pretty solid and I would love to see it redone without jam time restrictions!

Could you, please, share more information about your situation with axe? What exactly have you done before noticing the bug or some steps to reproduce? Because you’re not the first facing that issue and I never face it during the development. Your information would help me to understand what exactly went wrong.
