Originally, you were only allowed to start the game when the game jam officially started and ended. It is the main reason as to why a game jam is considered stressful, because of the limited time to develop your game. But because this is the first game jam I have ever hosted and I'm an IDIOT, I forgot to indicate that. So I would suggest starting when the game jam starts (it says so on the jam page) for the full 'Game Jam Experience', but it doesn't really matter when you start because this is more of a laid-back game jam
