hope the new spikes doesn't make alot for lag for me

if the saws lag me hard, i doubt it wont not lag us. it goes up, so maybe not.

It's a tricky balance between making cool things happen on good computers and not wrecking performance on lower end machines.

I'll try to take a pass at performance for both the saw blade and the spikes to make them as performant as possible. So far the spikes have been ok on my macbook pro which is probably about mid-range when I'm running the game in the editor with a lot of other programs open.

It also comes down to level design. I'll try not to have too many levels that are a field of spikes and enemies. :)

As a reference I'd say the FPS drop is usually smaller than for saw blades, but since things are being cut there is definitely an impact.

Basically, cutting things is the most expensive operation in the game whatever it is that's doing the cutting.
