I've followed the directions and Idk what I'm doing wrong, the Apk is failing to download and there's no save folder
Are you trying downloading to a SD Card directly. Since SD Cards are default FAT 32 bits you run into the 2Gb File Limit. Unless you reformat your SD Card to NSTF/64 bit where it will allow files over 2Gb to be transfered/ downloaded.
