Your actually not the first person to mention that. I think I can do it but the problem is I'm not sure where to put the offset. Putting it above the finger might make it difficult to get the strength rune in the lingerie shop. Moving it down doesn't help because it's still covered by your hand. We did make it bigger to sort of offset the issue but clearly that's not quite enough.
And yes the itchio free release is one update behind Patreon. Not sure that will always be the case. But it is for now.
I could see how that may be an issue. I think the best solution would be to have the location of the input separate from the actual location on screen for the item. So basically the initial location of touch would set the offset. I don't know if that makes any sense. Right now if you touch the screen the item jumps to that position. Instead it would stay were it is on screen but moving your finger would still more the object.
