Thanks for feedback, I will try to make races feel more distinct and make their choice to affect the gameplay more in the future, so any ideas are welcome. Raising dead will be the domain of necromancer profession as I have something specific in mind for that ability.
As for the animal breeding, we'll see how it feels on a bigger world and if needed there will be some means to repopulate it as the idea here is to not sit in one place for too long and go exploring.
