Post game as in after the credits? There shouldn't be any reason you can't talk to him, unless you have no mithril ore with you. You can forge 6 different items with mithril (3 with each smith), and there're 6 ores you can find throughout the game (either as quest rewards or hidden in dungeons).

Check if you have any Mysterious Orbs left in your inventory you can turn into mithril ore. If not, then you probably still have a bit of exploring to do before reaching 100%.

just ran into this issue myself. i have two mithril in my possession and never purchased the Daggers from him. for whatever reason, it acts as though you never unlocked the forging.

Edit- little thing semi-related, when speaking to the smith in Huyuchi village for the first time regarding mithril, he mistakenly refers to Eastwall's smith as his "brother", his brother obviously being Mao's dad and NOT the smithy.

That's pretty weird. I'll have look into it more in depth then.

Also, as for the brother thing, that's a leftover from a previous idea. He and Eastwall's smiths were supposed to be siblings, and there was going to be a quest where you help them meet again after 10 years. Later I scrapped it and made up the uncle thing, but forgot to remove the reference so sorry about that lol. It's gonna be fixed in the next patch (hopefully along with the mithril part)

Edit: Just loaded a post-credits save file and it still works for me no problem. You just need to have "mithril ore" in your inventory ("mysterious orb" won't do). If you're in NG+ you'll have to reach the right point in the quest for him to forge for you though, as all the quests reset to zero.

It was raw Mithril, out of the orb. And he’s not bringing up the “do you have mithril” prompt, either. He’s saying to not bother him as he does his work, which is what he says before unlocking mithril. I’ll check and see if a file reload does the trick next time I get on.

That's so weird... I also checked the last cutscenes in the game to see if they change the side quest's variables too but they don't...

Can you send me your save file? I can try looking into the quest variables and see at what number they are.

If you have previous save files you can try loading them too. That helps narrowing down where exactly the bug happened.

Send you the file? How the heck do I do that-

I feel it’s important to state that I’m playing on the browser, not downloaded.

I was able to interact with him just fine prior to the Wraith quest. I beat the game from there, went into post game, and the next time I interacted with him, he didn’t work. The only thing I did of significance between beating the Wraith and finding him broken was getting the mithril piece at the Kobold dungeon. (The other piece I had on me was from Mulach’s dungeon that I had recently re-explored but I think I got that one prior to fighting the Wraith.)

I mayyy also have encountered another bug at the Kobold dungeon… I defeated the Lich hidden in there during post game but neither the man at the entrance of the cave nor the Guild receptionist acknowledge it-

Oh I forgot to ask if you played on browser or PC. Well, I think I'll add a feature to the debug window that marks your progress in quests sometime in the future. This way anyone can figure out where they are.

Also, I think I figured out where the issue was! The orb in the kobold cave was copied from the cliffside ruins', which was made before the feature to return there was in place. So what happens is that whenever you get the orb from either dungeon, the mithril quest is set to step 1, which requires you to learn the password to progress. As you're already past the point you learn the password, the quest reverted and you can't progress. Thanks for the help and sorry for the incovenience. It's gonna be fixed in the next patch, and you shouldn't need to reload a previous save. Just talk to the smith twice and the quest should go back to its intended step if you have mithril ore in your inventory.

Also also, there isn't any lich in the kobold dungeon, so I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about... The guy at the entrance pays you if you beat the kobold king. The golems are there just to protect the orb so there isn't any more reward for beating them. There is a lich in the cliffside ruins tho (where you first meet Mulach) and beating it gives you a skull you can trade for a reward at the end of chapter IV. I forgot to add a way to trade it if you get the skull later though, so I'm adding it now as well. Thanks for pointing that out!

(But wow and here I thought all the bugs were solved at this point. I can see why devs like making linear games so much lol)

Edit: Just updated the game. Everything should be working fine now. Thanks again for the help!

Wow, i actually helped lol

and oof, im dum. but yeah, quest receptionist wouldnt accept it. dunno why i thought it was at kobold-

anyway, love your game man! i see from the comments  theres a lot of secrets, so my 9 and 1/2 hours will soon be a lot more, i bet!

Oh thanks a lot! I hope you still have a lot of fun from my little game xD

There're really plenty of secrets, and I made the game to be played twice (mainly so you can beat all the nigh impossible quests the second time) so good luck!

Also... Well that's weird lol. I gave the receptionist a line that checks if you have a "Lich's Skull" in your inventory.  It should play at whatever point in the game. I'm kinda busy now tho so I'll test it out more later.

oh, i dont mean now. i havent played again yet. i was talking about before, it wouldnt acknowledge the skull lol
