There's a big difference between the older content and the content I make now. My goal is to deliver a consistent product, which has mostly been achieved by now. There is still a lot more to do, but I won't be doing this forever.

Most AAA games these days don't get shipped because someone says "it's good enough, those perfectionist artists will never stop unless we force them to."  Unfinished games get pushed out with a ton of bugs because of corporate greed, usually when they want to release next to a holiday like Christmas for an extra boost in sales regardless of how prepared a product is. Fixing bugs is not hard, it's only time consuming and delaying a product for a year costs millions.  I look at the project as a whole piece and don't shoot for any deadlines other than "It's ready when it's ready", and that doesn't mean perfection.

I'd like to think we both have a point, as I respect artisans of their respective fields and like to think that in each and everyone who has attained a certain level of quality steps into the bucket that is perfectionism every once in a while and invests too much time and needs to be pulled back.

So, let me give you this tiny bit of advise: If you catch yourself tinkering away at one particular, small matter, give it a rest and come back later, maybe have some else have a look and give feedback.

And most importantly: Looking forward to 0.17

Oh and since you mentioned repeatable scenes here, I would nominate a rework of the "alarms" and the bedwarmer options. I always found it a bit awkward when having say Kali warm my bed and have the twins come in as alarm. I think it would be more rounded to have the girl(s) take on the wake-up duties automatically in their own unique way when they get to sleep with you. Just for consideration.
