It's not slow running, as it's based of real values.
I use real metric for the game, as all the maps I'm doing are not huge but condensed, so I use real average 'human speed'. But cross this whole map in the demo from a side to another do not take more than 4 minutes chrono..
If you are used to other game where characters are walking at 25km/h and running at 50km/h, is that their choice to make very fast/dynamic actions games.
The purpose of my project is to make it immersive, and the goal is a adventures game, with many other features, even with some jprg type battles, but not an action game.
As the 'stamina' is also a feature of the character, and could grow later.
But I take care than character speed fit for the environments I create, not too small but not too large. As you do not need an hour or more to cross a map.
It's matter also of game and level design.
Yes I'm aware about the this bug, it's already solved and ready for the next version.
In this version you can't go further than meet Maya, but it's a demo.
The majority of the work I have done the last years are in the Lula's Universe.
I expect finish the major update with lot of content related to Lula universe, even if it will not to consider as a game.
However considering the time I have dedicated for this project, the amount of work made and the money invested, it will be reserved for supporters.
So I will probably make a announcement when I finished the other test version and release it, but it will not be available for free on itchio.
As this demo release allow also to see if the project run on the hardware of the people before choice if they are ready to support this project for more.
But check my site here I describe the large lines of the project:

There is also devblog, and links where I post videos from the project.
