Hey! the spikes are triggered when you step on a hidden pressure plate (i say hidden but its easy to see if you know what you are looking for (a raised section of ground)) to avoid the trap, you just need to wait a turn on the pressure plate (space or just look around)! and to be fair i didnt really balance the game audio that well hehe it doesnt even have a volume option!
