Dio with a gun! Dio with a gun!!!

Loved it - the whole experience gave me pleasant Flash era vibes. Tying the theme to both gameplay and plot is easily deserving of 5 stars. The game's entire premise is so stupid, but also genius at the same time - which overall results in a golden experience. Brilliant!

I don't think I'll have the patience to survive for 3 minutes for now, but I did figure out that every time Dio shoots, there's some kind of a pattern to it. Sometimes he shoots clockwise, sometimes counterclockwise, other times he'll only shoot 3 directions at a time. I only ever dodged left and right so couldn't take advantage of that, maybe someone else can!

The only nitpick is that it was a bit difficult to react to the bullets sometimes, because they're pretty small and there is no other visual feedback for when Dio shoots. Perhaps a crosshair or some over-the-top animation for when he moves the gun could be helpful, and may also make pattern recognition a lot easier. Even so - great, great work!

Dio with a gun!!

I'm so glad you mentioned Flash games because that was definitely what I was trying to channel. You're on the right track with the patterns:  he can shoot in a circular pattern, a cross pattern, and a random pattern. All those patterns start at different offsets to give more variety. I agree with your feedback, I think either telegraphing his patterns or giving the player more time to react would be good improvements. Thanks for the kind words!
