I believe the only thing that is not compatible(for now) is diagonal support. For now, my plugin does not allow create diagonal characters.
But, if you look at my sample project (even if you don't have the plugin) and go to the img/generator/ folder, you will see how the plugin uses the image files. Meaning, they are just images. So if you manage to put the PV characters into the RPG Maker pattern (3 frames horizontal and 4 frames vertical):
As long your character has this pattern above, it will work. The size does not matter, you can have any size character you want, as long as it follows this pattern above.
