Love the artwork and animations, and the movement and dashing feel very smooth. I have a few recommendations for things that would improve the game. First of all, so many of the enemy types simply move towards and shoot at the player, this encourages a playstyle of constantly strafing in a circle and shooting at the center, whereas Bullet Hells are more about dodging through patterns of bullets. I would recommend making the enemies a little slower, or else stationary, and focusing on the patterns of bullets that they shoot. The enemies that appear later with the lazer lock-on are much more in line with bullet hell ideology, so I would lean into that direction. I would also recommend adding a cooldown indicator for the dash, as it was pretty unclear when it was usable again. And as others have pointed out, a background track will go a long way to up the ambiance. But overall, this is a great start! Really impressive for a first time game. Good work!
