thanks for encouraging me to switch to linux (manjaro btw)

hell yeah! how’re you liking it, and what made you pull the trigger on it?

i've been trying to move to linux because of how bloated windows is, half of my 514 GBs were thrown in a hellfire because of it, I saw that you talked about linux (and expressed your hatred for it),  it reminded me of needing to switch to linux at that time i was also doing a bunch of stuff on software (3d modelling, drawing, ableton and scripting in unity), i had so many files that it was a complete mess and it all lagged. I also know that i don't play many games that I don't need to stay in windows so i tried again to install (without a usb didn't had one at the time) I managed to do it with universal usb installer and I am free now.

I like it alot because of how customizable and good it is (especially for performance), i am learning to do TWM on i3 to improve performance on my programs.

welcome to the other side, we hope you enjoy your stay haha

you might even be able to recover those drives - friend of mine was able to get some old and destroyed ones opened once he switched to Mint

wow i3! that one’s a lil too hardcore for me haha, i wish you good luck. i am an XFCE fan forever

oh, I meant that it just took half of my total 514 gb space on my windows partition since i use so much software for saving stuff(which just loaded my gbs with useless wasted space, and the unity package from visual studio is so extremely bloated!), not that it killed my drive because I am on a laptop.

also I stay on KDE usually, I want to use it for when ill begin ricing, but I want to go to i3 to just open my blender and other software, and that would be it. :)

ah!! that’s much better haha. you’re right about the unity package, idk how it’s so large

oh ok! KDE is a real good one. have fun!!
