I'm going to give some positives and negatives, because I think there is some genuine feedback you could get on this, and I want to see it become better. First, the things that I liked about it. The graphics, although flat, are actually pretty stylized. Putting them in the fullscreen mode ruins them and stretch's it, so that's an unintended mistake, but whatever. The animations of the enemies, the rooster and hens, and the bobbing flowers and swaying grass are really nice, and you don't see that level of detail with animation normally in a game jam, so that's fantastic.

Now for things that could use work. The audio. I thought there was no audio until I pressed JUMP, and then there was the most SCUFFED JET TURBINE blasting in my ear. Not only was game audio cranked all the way up when booting (which is preventable only if you heard main menu music beforehand), but I had to lower audio to 10% for anything audibly playable. The camera on the player is horrible, in that camera gives 80% of its headspace to the sky, and jumping causes your character to appear as a frisbee in the infinite blue void, so obviously you will have a hard time jump correcting.

And of course, you need to jump correct because the enemies move at either lumbering or light jog, compared to your character, who is permanently limping slowly. There is no sprint button, so this is the speed you are stuck at. So when you have a collection platformer, with a slow character, with a camera that never shows you where you land, and every enemy hit being insta-death and resetting your progress to square one... yeah, it becomes unfun.

TLDR: Game is half baked in camera control, player movement, and scuffed audio design, but engaging visuals and capable level design leads me to think this game could be better. I look forward to your continued improvement.
