This was my first game jam, and I think I'm satisfied with what I delivered. Is it remotely close to what I wanted? No. But taking everything into account, I got something that mostly works. I just wish I had more time on it, but that's the realities of life (I work fulltime and have a family). Definitely don't think it needs to be longer than 10 days, the duration felt kind of perfect for me, just my own time management that needs fine tuning for next jam.

On the game itself, I couldn't get my initial idea to really work, so what I put together is not really what I wanted, and it's very stripped down (only one level), but at least it functions. It was my first time working with the tilemap, and there are still things I wanted to do and just couldn't figure out in time. I even submitted with a hilarious bug (not game breaking) just because I didn't want to spend a few hours figuring out why the rigidbody didn't react the way I wanted it to 😂

To everyone that read this far, I want to congratulate for participating. Whether you finished or not doesn't matter, just taking on the challenge can be huge.

You can check out my game if you want to, it uses SO MANY FREE ASSETS 😂

not sure how to get the submission link like OP, so here's the itch.io link

Congrats for your first game jam!! I agree that time management is definitely a big thing with building a full-on games in a short time span.

Also I peaked at your game, the graphics and sound effect are amazing thus far. I will come back for a full play through after rating starts :)
