Currently, the game is incomplete and the main focus is to test the bosses and find and report bugs and glitches. The full game will have side quests to complete for its full release.

I think that area is just a test for moving platform.
I think Mofu intends to redesign the whole map later, as its current form might be just placeholders to test all the systems and mechanics.
That room might not be there in later updates and the current map might be significantly changed and expanded in the future.
