xero_patience every single one of the sound additions on mayto's itch.io work exactly as intended. I have added them to trucks myself. It is not a script mod; you have to unzip a truck mod and edit it with the included xml and files on this page.

LouieBlum - Make sure you have all the filepaths in the correct spot. Also check your log.txt file for errors. There isn't too many moving parts to adding these sounds, so it's likely something simple that needs to be changed.

Hey, I changed the sounds out and everything works with no errors that I see but the jake brake doesn't make any sound.

It sounds like you either did not put the <retarder> section of the xml into the sounds xml correctly. Make sure there is only one <retarder> section in the sound xml, and check that you put it in exactly how mayto posted.

Thank you for the reply. I copied and pasted the sound into the original sound file. Everything else works great, except the jake does not make any sound. It is confusing because there is no error in the output though I checked the script, and I have everything that the creator posted for his sound script and I also have the sound in the sounds folder as well. And to answer your suggestion, it has both <retarder> on the top and the bottom where it is in the script. (I can share the file of the mod I'm using it on if you would like, its a project convert from FS19.)

i cant figure out how to do this can you help me you sound like you know what you are doin g
