You may want to go back and re-read the DataCrystal instructions. DataCrystal is not a literal save file, it's just a way to carry over certain stats to the new game. You'll still have to start a new game in GutterTrash once it's in place.
Gotcha! yeah I saw save "carry over" and had assumed it worked like a few other RPGmaker titles ive played. My mistake there!
