The problem is how people create/use the AI, not the AI itself (As I said in another post), i.e., we need regulations and tech tools to avoid AI based on stealing other people's work.
iirc, the US patent office rejects IP claims for AI generated art, so right now Artists being replaced by AI is not an immediate threat, but it will be soon, when we won't be able to tell the difference anymore, so our society must be participating because if we only let the big companies decide we will be screwed.
