I really like the premise of the game! The idea of making you take all that brutish strength to do quaint little acts of kindness for the people in a town is super cute, hah.

The idea felt underserved by the focus on the sliding rocks puzzles as the core gameplay loop within the top-down RPG setting.  It felt pretty obtrusive & slow a lot of the time & I ended up not finishing 2 of the 3 quests due to some odd jank here & there. I saved the kitten, but I'll dream of the cow's unending moos. The bushes which are only either slash-able or burnable not being conveyed super clearly is a minor nitpick in comparison.

It was definitely worth sticking around to see the art & hear the music, though the music transitions were kinda abrupt. The backgrounds are nicely painted, the character art is charming, the particle effects of the flames are quirky in a Klei-esque way, etc. The game's presentation is generally really nice, & I can definitely forgive the shortcomings given the jam context.

I really dug the vibe but, again, game jam restrictions & the rock puzzle focus feel like they definitely got in the way of that. Y'all probably just needed more time. I enjoyed my time with the game, all told. Sorry, I couldn't finish it.  Kudos, all around.
