Took me a while to figure it out, but once I did, I had a fun time. The biggest issue here is the balancing of the roles themselves and how hard it seems to be:

  • Sword - the most fun, because it feels the most like a game. Avoiding bullets and slicing enemies is the highlight of the game.
  • Gun - nothing happens, you go to the corner, shoot one or two enemies, then you go to the center to continue.
  • Healing - that's when you die if you switch too late, and if you switch roles earlier, you won't have the health to survive the next bullet hell or you'll be swarmed with enemies all shooting at you.

Have no idea how the upgrade mechanic works. The description talks about it and there are screenshots with it, but it never appeared and I have no idea how to use it. I wish I could play the game with it, but I couldn't. Despite all of that, it's an interesting idea for a mechanic. Honestly, I think switching roles on a timer with WarioWare-style faster pacing could work better for this kind of game, give it some energy.

Thanks for the great review, i actually had the roles much more balanced, the enemies would actually hide, there were upgrades and sound effects on everything, but i lost the last 5 hours of progress that i made on the game so this is a very unfinished version, thanks for all the feedback i think if i ever turn this into a proper game this will be really useful to look back at.
