Does anything happen, console window opens, crash report shows? There might be something relevant inside "logs/errors.log".
nothing happens, the client says "running" then it jsut stops and says "launch" again

oh....apparently my headphones have to be on for the game to run
without my headphoes powered on, logs has this [11:38:32] [error] Mix_init error: WASAPI can't find requested audio endpoint: Element not found.
so i turned on my headphones and voila, the game runs
Well that's a first. Could you tell me what kind of headphones are you using so I can try to investigate?
uh, Sony bluetooth headphones the model is MDR-1RBT
