Hello!
Your game, Sew Lovely, is sew lovely to play! Be-weave it or knot, my disbelief is hanging by a thread!
okay that's enough...
But yeah, it's pretty fun! The concept, art style, sfx, and mechanics are all pretty cozy and fit the mood well. I played Pokémon Ranger as a kid, so my first instinct was to just infinitely draw circle after circle around the enemies without any strategy (it... didn't work lol) T-T
I played on normal difficul-tea and didn't use any slowmo, and it took around 45 to 60 minutes to complete all 25 levels (the hide-and-seek level was painful but doable in about 5-6 tries). The overall difficulty isn't too bad, some levels are definitely harder than others, but it could maybe be toned down by these two things:
- The wall restrictions are just a bit too harsh for my taste; Some of the enemies get too close to them for their boundaries. It's a nitpick, nothing game-breaking :)
- The recovery from hitting obstacles is a little long, especially when I'm about to get the last one and the timer is actively ticking down. I've narrowly escaped failure before, with like .6 seconds left (it made me feel like a BOSS), but I'd just prefer to get right back up and in the game after hitting something. Just a personal thing!
Overall, I really liked this one! I'm a Pokémon fan at heart (just look at my game and my pfp), so it had a nice little nostalgia element for me. This would make a pretty addictive mobile game too, as mentioned by another user iirc. Keep it up!
(also why were there no knights in the "bump in the night" level like boos and knights fit perfectly with the pun whhhyyyyyy)
