Impressive submission. You managed to make quite a lot of game in not a lot of time!

Large map (especially for a 48hr jam). Quite a lot of content in terms of dialogue and questing.

Very good use of the assets provided. Lots of variety. Fits the them perfectly too.

For improvements, I'd suggest increasing the walk speed a bit as it does take some time to move from one side of the map to another. Also, I'd suggest making the size of the game window smaller in future games. I'm playing this on a laptop and found I could not see all of the game screen without scrolling up and down.

Great submission. You did a very a good job!

Thanks a lot, that is really useful feedback! A bit unrelated, I'm curious: would you say a minimap would help or detract from this game?

I think a minimap would be a good idea, especially for finding npcs and stuff. The map is big enough to warrant one. Only thing to consider there is how much you show; do you show items, less important npcs, etc.

You could alternatively a map you pull up (say press [TAB]) that shows where you've visited and what was there. Could also have a pointer appear in the game when you are near a key NPC. Might be a pain to implement is the only thing.

Choosing any/all of the above would add to your game I think.

Hope this helps. Glad you found my feedback useful!
